First of all, I myself am surprised that I had the patience to sit through and watch the entire conversation. I think Bree not only changed me while she was physically with us but also now, when she's only in my memories. Second of all, I think, based on how much I know Bree, she would make this trip happen for anyone who truly wants to go, regardless of the issue of money. I also really liked the idea of designing a shirt in memory of her and then doing a fundraiser off of that and I would love to help out with that. Bree was the most stylistic person I knew, who had great sense of fashion - so I think it would be my honor to somehow connect with her through this. P.S. Thank you so much Dr. Preston for showing such care and passion towards this trip, her goals and dreams, and her - overall. I know this means so much to her, to me, and to the entire AVID family. Let me know if I can help in any way possible.
Hi Naiomi, we would love to have your help with the t-shirt design and fundraiser! It would be awesome if you could rally a few students together to help you design it. Haley and I can also help you out as well if you need it. My email is msteller32@gmail.com if you need to contact me. Thank you so much for volunteering to help out!
Please add 6 to the numbers from England! :) I'm bringing my students! (if that's ok with you all) I'll be chatting to Dr. P, but if any of you (organisers) need to get in touch direct me email is below on the blog. We had a similar meeting yesterday at lunch and my students are drafting a Kickstarter to get them over there! -and MELISSA, my idea for the title for the trip and the shirt: Don't you Quit (next line, or back) My Masterpiece is NOW - as inspired by this post on Bree's blog: http://breethegrodriguez.blogspot.co.uk/2014/12/dont-you-quit.html p.s. David, you made me WAY too famous!! -never played with YoYo Ma!! -but the other stuff, yes! :) CANNOT WAIT!
I watched the whole thing. Very cool. I created a mind map and shared with Preston to share with all. Still a great tool for building task lists and keeping people up to date by subscription. Melissa, you are awesome. Dr. Preston...sort of.
